Apologies for my tardy entry, but the festive month has seen me rushed off my sheepskin bound little feet! But the festive period is sadly over, and life has resumed to normality, which hopefully means more regular correspondance from yours truly.
Christmas was a whirlwind of drinking, dancing, and roast dinners, and with such a recipe for success, I'm sure you can believe that I had a truly magical time. I had spent the past two months slowly defrosting the Beau's Festive heart, and by Christmas Day it was well and truly thawed, as he spent his first Yuletide Holiday as a most enjoyable addition to the family. As usual, they truly excelled themselves both in the way of presents and food, and I am writing this entry on a shiny new notebook laptop (I'd been a very good girl this year).
I had been extraodinarily lucky this year with my Christmas working hours, and enjoyed 5 full days at the homestead, packed to the brim with familial love and good spirit. But the price of such joy is a solid block of exhaustion over the New Year, and so I must wait until next week until I can finally relax and revel in my holidays before the return to the plights of acadaemia! But fear not, dear readers, my posts will not remain so diffuse! The start of the New Year will bring resolutions of determination in many a field...but more of that to come later!
